AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA AND THE REPUBLIC OF NAMIBIA REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS
The Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Namibia (hereinafter referred to as "the Contracting Parties"),
guided by the desire to develop and strengthen relations between the two countries in accordance with the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations;
convinced that the establishment of diplomatic relations will provide them with a unique forum to exchange ideas and experience in promoting world peace and order, in achieving a more equitable international society and in cooperating to raise the living standards of their peoples,
have agreed as follows:
Article 1
The Contracting Parties shall establish diplomatic relations at the Ambassadorial level on the day this Agreement enters into force.
Article 2
The Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 18 April 1961, shall apply to diplomatic relations between the Contracting Parties.
Article 3
The Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 24 April 1963, shall apply to consular relations between the Contracting Parties.
Article 4
This Agreement enters into force upon signature.
In witness whereof, the undersigned being duly authorised thereto by their respective Governments, have signed this Agreement.
Done at London, in duplicate, in the Slovenian and English languages, on this 24th day of March in the year one thousand nine hundred and ninety four (1994). Both texts being equally authentic.
