POVZETEK
Uvajanje, spodbujanje in upravljanje kakovosti v javni upravi je pomemben del prenove le-te, saj lahko z uporabo orodij za dvig kakovosti in odličnosti organizacija dosega številne prednosti, kot so: preglednejša organiziranost poslovanja, preglednost upravnih in podpornih procesov, dokumentiranost postopkov z odgovornostmi in pristojnostmi, sprotno spremljanje rezultatov na podlagi zastavljenih ciljev, katero izboljšuje sistematičnost pri zbiranju podatkov, izboljšanje notranje komunikacije, posredno pa večja kakovost storitev, zadovoljstvo odjemalcev in zaposlenih. Z uvedbo in nadgradnjo različnih modelov kakovosti in odličnosti, katerih prednosti prevladajo nad pomanjkljivostmi, v okviru javne uprave vodijo upravne enote, zato smo mnenja, da je potrebno dobro prakso upravnih enot čimprej razširiti na celotno javno upravo oziroma javni sektor.
SUMMARY
Introduction, stimulation and management of quality in public administration is a significant part of its »make-over«, since using the tools for raising quality and excellence an organization is set to achieve many advantages, for instance: a clearer organization of business processes, a clear administrative and support processes, documentation of procedures with responsibilities and competences, regular result monitoring based on the set goals, that raises the level of systematic collection of data, improving internal communication, and also indirectly raises the quality of service, user and employee satisfaction. With the introduction and upgrade of different quality models, which have more benefits than deficiencies, in the frame of public administration administration units are leading, hence we believe, that the good practice of the units should as soon as possible expand to the entire public administration or public sector.
